Matilija Poppy in Vase is a limited edition linoprint as part of the 'vaz' series from my art show at Hotel Paradox in 2022. This vessel is holding the Matilija Poppy, or Fried Egg Poppy, flower. The vaz is bold and funky. The tablecloth is delicate and muted. All printed on a dark paper for intensity.
Each print was made from multiple blocks printed on one page. Each color is assigned a layer, so it is a meticulous job to plan and line up each layer.
